“Walk day and night and experience stunning views, dark pathways, moonlit canals and shadowy tunnels in this unforgettable adventure. You’ll pass numerous landmarks and sites along the route, including Kelvingrove Museum and Park, locks on the Forth and Clyde canal, the Falkirk Wheel, Linlithgow Palace before arriving in Scotland’s capital.”

That is the blurb on the British Heart Foundation’s website for the 100km’s in 30 hours trek from Glasgow to Edinburgh which eight of us have recently signed up to do on 21 July 2017. It doesn’t say that to walk day and night, experience the stunning views and to make it along the Forth and Clyde canal to finish in Edinburgh will be a very tough physical and mental challenge. But it certainly will be!

Here we will share with you our collective and individual thoughts and experiences as we train and prepare ourselves over the next six months so that we have the best possible chance of success.
